Swingarm Skid Plates.

Im pretty sure thats what i need anyways. I was riding some pretty rough trails and think i ripped the oem POS plastic one off on a rock. What would you guys recommend for a good durable swingarm skidplate that will hold up against rocks and stuff? Thanks guys

I know there is alot of bad stuff written about Pro Armor on this site but I recently rode through the worst rockiest shit ever for several days straight. Yes it has some scraps and stuff but damm it took some abuse. Plus it has a tow hook hole in the back.

skids

I have had both AC racing and Pro armor skids. The AC plate for the swing arm is smaller and lighter than the Pro Armor but the Pro Armor is thicker and offers a little more coverage. Overall I think the Pro armor is better quality than the other products that I have seen. The down side is that it took over a month for me to get the Pro Armor. I think they were back ordered but they might be caught up now. motosport.com has them in stock. $129. I have their chassis skid too and I am pretty impressed with it so far. It has taken some hard hits

i was readin some reviews about the pro armor swingarm skid plate and saw that alot of people were complaining about it bending all the time and hanging up on rocks...this true? and if so...whats a good alternative?

PRM makes nice skids, but you'll hear mixed reviews about them too. I have a Pro Armor swing arm skid, and I love it. It had gotten a little bent up, but I put that thing through absolute HELL, so I'm not surprised. NOTHING that's available could have taken what I threw at it without bending, and my brake rotor & chain sprocket are still in tact.

PRM is very nice

I ripped my stock one off ridding in Durhamtown and lost some of the hardwrae. That is the one issue I have with the Pro Armor...you need 100% of the OEM hardware to mount it. I got the thickest one PRM had and it came with it's own hardware. The fit was great and the thing is super thick/strong. I am very happy with their swingarm gaurd.
