That sucks...

Maybe there is a casting problem with that part?

Look on the bright side... you have a sick bike otherwise... unique...

I understand your frustration, however, its your fault you crashed, not the quad's. They can't design a bike that is lightweight and make it impervious to any crash anybody has. Stop hitting stumps and you won't be breaking your knuckles!

true that but some of the parts could have easily been better designed and not add much weight, for instance the spline on the stem

Hey slick read the first post hit the fucking LEFT SIDE... RIGHT SIDE broke! Thats why i'm pissed it is a shit ass design compare it to a honda and u will see what i mean. It needs to be beefed up and IMO should handle hard hits it is a sport quad and is meant to be raced and abused. And if they designed it that way to save weight they need to be kicked in the balls!!! steering knuckle is a critical control component you break that there is no saving your ass, i would hope they would choose strength and safety over weight in this area. I am not the only one with this issue seems to be a design flaw to me.

im afraid i have to agree with knaffie: if u hit a stump with your left side, your right side would be compromised as well. i bet you tumbled over the right side didnt you? you hit something on the left that leaves all the weight on your right front tire: its physics. and btw it could be a faulty knuckle, as i have hit and tumbled numerous times and broke tie rod ends and bent stems and tierods, but never broke a knuckle. also, my bikes in the shop cause i broke the axle, as i am a fatass (225) that rides hard, and yet im not complaining about stuff breaking after i HIT SHIT...

now when that bitch wouldnt start, id complain...

I think this is a stupid argument. I know reekers and he's had nothing but bad luck this year. I assume since I know him and you people dont, that im closer to right. I'm shure I have seen more than one person run into problems with the kfx450r sterring knuckle, so there is something there. Whoever said they can't have a heavy duty quad buit to take a hit and keep it light is also wrong a honda weighs 35 pounds less than a kawi. Dont even say well the kawi is fuel injected bla bla bla I know its still heavier. Basiclly Reekers was trying to vent a little and you guys are taking offense like he's making fun or your quad. Everyone needs to chill.
